Confetti Privacy Policy

Overview

Confetti helps guests create and join shared party albums, then add photos, videos, captions, and contributor names to those albums. This policy explains what information Confetti collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

• Display name. You provide a display name so memories can show who added them.
• Party album details. We store album names, emoji, color theme, event date, join code, host/guest role, and membership data.
• Photos, videos, captions, and thumbnails. Media and captions you add are stored so event members can view the shared album.
• Device session token. Confetti creates a device token and stores it in the iOS Keychain so you can return to your albums.
• Technical data. Our servers may process request metadata such as IP address, request time, endpoint, and error logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

Photos And Camera

Confetti asks for photo library access when you choose media from your device, and camera access when you take a photo in the app. Media is uploaded only when you choose to add it to a party album.

How We Use Information

• Provide shared album creation, joining, media upload, and viewing.
• Show contributor names, album counts, thumbnails, and event membership.
• Keep your device signed in without requiring an email or password.
• Protect the service, investigate bugs, and maintain reliability.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track you across apps and websites.

Sharing

Album content is shared with people who are members of the same party album. A host can share a join code with guests, and anyone who joins with a valid code may be able to view and contribute to that album. Avoid uploading content you do not have permission to share with those guests.

We may also share limited information with infrastructure providers that help us operate hosting, storage, networking, and security. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, Confetti, or the public.

Retention And Deletion

Album content is retained while the album or memory remains active. Hosts can delete albums, and contributors or hosts can delete memories where the app provides that control. Deleting a memory removes the associated stored media from Confetti's storage.

You can delete your Confetti account from the Profile settings screen in the app. Account deletion removes your display name, device profile, memberships, albums you host, and associated uploaded memories from Confetti's active systems. For access, correction, or other privacy requests, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to deletion and access requests within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law.

Security

Confetti uses HTTPS for production app traffic and stores the device session token in the iOS Keychain. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect the service and user data.

Children

Confetti is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. You may exercise these rights by contacting [email protected].

Changes

We may update this policy as Confetti changes. When we make material updates, we will update the effective date on this page.
